How we help

Conditions we see every week.

Elaris is a results-driven clinic focused on back, neck and joint pain. We restore function using targeted spinal protocols, neuromechanical resets and inflammation reduction — a system rooted in science, not guesswork.

Lower body

Low back pain & sciatica

Disc irritation, joint restriction and nerve compression that sends pain into the buttock, thigh or calf.

Shoulder

Frozen shoulder

Loss of range and night pain, treated with graded joint work and a home loading plan.

Sport

Sports injuries

Running, golf and gym injuries — return-to-sport plans that address the mechanics behind them.

Family

Pregnancy & paediatric care

Perinatal and children's care with Dr Jo Davison, a specialist in women's health and paediatrics.

Precision care, real results

The Elaris Method™ — four stages.

  1. 01

    Assess

We identify the structural, neurological and inflammatory imbalances causing your pain.

  2. 02

    Adjust

We correct the dysfunction at the root — restoring alignment, reducing spasm and interrupting chronic pain patterns.

  3. 03

    Reset

Spinal stimulation and neurophysiological restoration to support the brain–body connection.

  4. 04

    Sustain

Long-term results by strengthening the system that holds you up — and preventing relapse.

Tried the treatments, followed the advice, and still not well? That may be a failure of explanation.

Not a massage. Not a pill. Not a cover-up. Precision spinal care, built around you.

Book your appointment

Your first visit

What actually happens, step by step.

  1. 01

    Understanding your whole picture

Your first appointment is not a standard chiropractic assessment. Alongside a thorough hands-on and neurological examination, we explore the history your nervous system is carrying — when your symptoms began, what was happening in your life at that time, and what accumulated experience may be contributing to what you are feeling now. Where relevant we may recommend digital X-rays or a targeted blood panel.

  2. 02

    Analysis across all three layers

We study your results in detail — structural findings, neurological patterns, inflammatory markers — but we go further than most. We are looking not just at what your body is doing, but at why your nervous system may have learned to stay in a state of protection. That deeper picture shapes everything that follows.

  3. 03

    Your results, explained honestly

We sit down with you and walk through everything we have found — not just the structural picture, but the neurological and emotional layers that conventional assessments rarely reach. You will leave understanding not just what is happening, but why it has persisted, and what that means for what comes next.

  4. 04

    A conversation about your options

We do not recommend the same plan to everyone. We show you how care works across the physical, neurological and emotional dimensions of your condition — and we help you choose the approach that fits where you are right now, both clinically and practically.

  5. 05

A plan built around your nervous system, not just your spine

Your written care plan is designed to address the layers beneath the surface — calming the threat response, updating the nervous system's predictions, and restoring the conditions in which genuine healing becomes possible. Progress is measured at every stage, not assumed.

Dr Stephen Davison, chiropractor and founder of the Elaris Method

Dr Stephen Davison BSc (Hons), MSc (Chiro), MPhil, DC

Founder of the Elaris Method™ · Neuro-emotional spinal specialist

GCC registration no. 01149

“Behind every pain is a pattern. When we integrate the emotional and neurological roots, we don't just relieve symptoms — we release what caused them.”

Stephen created the Elaris Method™, an approach that integrates chiropractic, neuroscience and emotional patterning to relieve pain and reset the body's healing systems.

Academic background & published researchStephen holds a First-Class Honours degree in Immunology from King's College London and an MPhil in Molecular Genetics from the University of Cambridge. In 2003 he co-authored a peer-reviewed, single-blind randomised controlled pilot study on the effect of upper cervical chiropractic manipulation on short-term lymphocytic response, published in the European Journal of Chiropractic and presented at the 7th Biennial Congress of the World Federation of Chiropractic in Orlando, Florida. The study found an immediate, measurable reduction in lymphocytic activation after manipulation, supporting the hypothesis that chiropractic care can influence the immune and inflammatory response. It was later cited in a 2021 systematic review in JAMA Network Open, part of the JAMA Network of peer-reviewed medical journals published by the American Medical Association.

Bulging disc · physically demanding job

“Around 20 weeks ago I went to see him with a bulging disc in my back. I was in constant pain, struggling with everyday life, and as someone who works in a physically demanding job, I was worried I’d never get back to normal.”

“Week by week he rebuilt the strength in my back, improved my mobility and gradually got me back to full fitness. Jo also played a part in my treatment, helping with hands-on therapy during my recovery.”

“I’m now fully functional again and back doing the work I love without pain. The difference he has made to my quality of life has been incredible.”
